Venerable Lazarus of Galesion     11/20/2013

At the moment of his birth a blinding light filled the house. He left his village close to Magnesia and went to visit the holy Places in Jerusalem, where he became a monk in the Monastery of Saint Sabas the Sanctified. After ten years spent in the monastery, he found a dwelling place on Mount Galesion where he lived in ascesis as a stylite. He was a wonderworker during his life and after he had departed this world. He was greatly respected by the Emperor Constantine Monomachus. He inhabited the everlasting Kingdom in his old age, at the end of 9 century.
