In the Bigorski monastery near Debar the reconstruction is underway of the lower premises of the guest quarters, which in 1912 were set on fire, and the first renovation of which was undertaken in 1936. The execution of the present reconstruction, a donation of Mr. Trifun Kostovski, tends to bring back the old quarters their former look from before the fire.

 

 

The first stage of the works on the reconstruction ended on the feast of the Annunciation (in 2004), when the lower floors were completely renewed and furnished with the necessities.

The second stage of the reconstruction of the quarters is due prior to the forthcoming celebration of the monastery feast, the day of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist (September 11), when the exterior, the façade, the windows, and the closed terrace of the quarters are to be done, while the interior of the upper floor is to be done later.
