Venerable Philotheus 9/28/2013
Saint Philotheus was from the village of Myrmix in the Opsikion theme in Asia Minor. His mother bore the same name, only in different order: Theophila. He was a priest and even during his lifetime a great wonderworker. At one occasion he turned water into wine, and at another he multiplied bread. He fell asleep in the Lord in the tenth century. His holy relics appeared to be myrrh flowing.
