Venerable Daniel of Thasios 9/25/2013
Ascetic and founder of a great monastery. He was a contemporary of St Joannicius the Great. He was present at the visit of Saint Joannicius to Thasios. The people entreated the blessed Joannicius to rid them of a plague of snakes. The Saint prayed to God and the snakes in large numbers headed towards the sea and drowned.
